WORLD SCIENCE DAY FAIR
Celebrated every 10 November, World Science Day for Peace and Development highlights the important role of science in society and the need to engage the wider public in emerging scientific issues. It also underlines the importance and relevance of science in our daily lives.
At LONDC we aim to help young children discuss scientific topics and stimulate their thinking about the role that science plays in their daily life. Topics relevant to preschoolers were modeled by teachers and other staff members and children had the opportunity to dwell in hands on experiences and experiments. Moreover, adults too enjoyed the event immensely.

OUR BABIES
A baby's physical development is a thing of beauty and a source of pride. From sitting to crawling, to walking, talking, smiling to laughing, each achievement is a developmental milestone.
A baby is getting stronger every day, building the muscles necessary to crawl, walk, and run. This year is choke-full of exciting milestones and physical development.

OUR PLAYGROUP I
Most of the 1-year-old's developing skills are interrelated, and this is especially true of language and social development. The abilities to speak with others, convey information, ask questions, explain herself, and express her feelings put the baby on a higher social and cognitive plane. Their interactions take on a new complexity, as does their exploration of and understanding of their expanding world.

OUR PLAYGROUP II
Are you amazed by the new things your toddler says each day? Less than a year ago, your little one was uttering one-word commands — now it's likely that he or she is speaking in three-word sentences.
Your toddler's growing vocabulary includes a couple hundred words. Reading, songs, and nursery rhymes are fun ways to build on blossoming language skills. They will continue to enjoy learning new words, naming pictures in books, pointing out parts of the body, and other similar activities. You can be teaching her the sounds that animals make.

OUR FOUNDATION YEAR
With the child’s third birthday, the “terrible twos” are officially over and the “magic years” of three and four begin—a time when the child’s world will be dominated by fantasy and vivid imagination. During the next two years, he’ll mature in many areas. The child will start asking lots of questions. "Why is the sky blue? Why do birds have feathers?" Questions, questions, and more questions! While it may be annoying at times, asking questions is a normal developmental milestone. The child is becoming much more nimble, more easily handling small objects. The 3- to 4-year-old is not only becoming more independent physically, but also emotionally. In addition, he is becoming more social and may now be able to cooperate with his or her friends, take turns, and may begin to show some problem-solving skills.
