WORLD SCIENCE DAY FAIR
Celebrated every 10 November, World Science Day for Peace and Development highlights the important role of science in society and the need to engage the wider public in emerging scientific issues. It also underlines the importance and relevance of science in our daily lives.
At LONDC we aim to help young children discuss scientific topics and stimulate their thinking about the role that science plays in their daily life. Topics relevant to preschoolers were modeled by teachers and other staff members and children had the opportunity to dwell in hands on experiences and experiments. Moreover, adults too enjoyed the event immensely.
A baby's physical development is a thing of beauty and a source of pride. From sitting to crawling, to walking, talking, smiling to laughing, each achievement is a developmental milestone.
A baby is getting stronger every day, building the muscles necessary to crawl, walk, and run. This year is choke-full of exciting milestones and physical development.
OUR PLAYGROUP I
Most of the 1-year-old's developing skills are interrelated, and this is especially true of language and social development. The abilities to speak with others, convey information, ask questions, explain herself, and express her feelings put the baby on a higher social and cognitive plane. Their interactions take on a new complexity, as does their exploration of and understanding of their expanding world.
