Culture
is the total way of life that people in the society are blessed with. Culture
is the characteristics of a particular group of people, defined by everything
from language, religion, cuisine, social habits, music and arts. Cultural
diversity is a driving force of development, not only with respect to economic
growth, but also as a means of leading a more fulfilling intellectual,
emotional, moral and spiritual life. We, Little Oxford too use every
opportunity to ensure that our little ones develop a love and respect for
diverse cultures, attires, food, language and religion.
OUR LITTLE BABIES
All babies grow and reach development
milestones at different times. Development milestones relate to your baby’s
ability to move, see, hear, communicate and interact with others.
OUR PLAYGROUP I
Play is fun for the children and gives them an opportunity to
explore, observe, experiment, solve problems and learn from their mistakes.
They’ll need our support and encouragement to do this. But it’s important to
try to find a balance between helping the children and letting them try things
on their own, which means they might sometimes make mistakes. Finding out for
themselves about how the world works is a big part of the children’s learning.
- OUR PLAYGROUP IIIn the first five years of life, the children’s brain develops more and faster than at any other time in their life. The children’s early experiences – their relationships and the things they see, hear, touch, smell and taste – stimulate their brain, creating millions of connections. This is when the foundations for learning, health and behavior throughout life are laid down.
OUR FOUNDATION YEAR
Development is how the children grow physically and
emotionally and learn to communicate, think and socialize. In the first five
years of life, children’s brain develops more and faster than at any other time
in their life. Our relationship with our child is one of the most important
influences on our child’s learning and development. In the early years, our
children’s main way of learning and development is through play.
