OUR BABIES
Babies' early experiences and relationships stimulate their brains, shaping the way they see and respond to the world. As the babies' awareness of the world expands through these experiences, they develop and learn, and we can see lots of changes in their behaviour.
OUR PLAYGROUP I
Children are born with their own ways of responding to the world. This is called temperament. Understanding the child's temperament can help us choose strategies that nurture the child's development.
OUR PLAYGROUP II
We might see some changes in our children's temperament as they become more mature. This happens as children's experiences affect the way they behave in different situations. For example: A child who used to be very distracted at school might become an adult who can concentrate well in business meetings. This might be because he has developed more motivation as he matured, or because he has ;earned strategies to manage his distractions.
OUR FOUNDATION YEAR
Preschooler are trying to understand the world around them so they might sometimes get a bit distracted by what's going on around them. A good rule is to always allow 30 minutes when doing things with them. They need limits that guide them as they grow and explore. Limits and routines gives children security, and help them take responsibilities when they are ready.
